Syllabus:

Exploration of the areas of writing material for communicating via an interactive screen environment, enabling students to develop skills in both instructional and narrative forms. Multimedia and corporate industries.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have demonstrated a basic knowledge of the history of interactive media and hypermedia principles. An understanding of the concept of how an audience may interact with a meta-linear story both fictional and non-fictional, an understanding of command modes of interactivity, and "lean forward/lean back" interaction theory. An ability to apply interactivity to linear stories fictional and non-fictional. An understanding of the future directions of interactive media. The convergence of media forms , DVD, games and Television. An ability to use interactive technology in the writing process. How to script write for interactive media. An ability to use HTML/Interactive technology to develop and present a script idea.
