Unit Outcomes: | Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to - Describe contemporary social and cultural issues affecting the lives of people with disabilities and their families. Critically examine current social theories and their relationship to disability services. Apply knowledge of legislation, policy and models of services and examine their influence on service delivery. Critique ethical issues surrounding provision of services and the role of professional advocacy. |
