Syllabus: | Visual images as sources of historical information. The examination, identification and interpretation of a variety of visual records ranging from maps to works of art, illustrations, photographs and film. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- A general understanding of the nature and evolution of selected image reproduction techniques to alert them to the cultural context of visual images. Been provided with an introduction to issues concerning the care, maintenance and interpretation of visual materials. An extended range of primary source material available to them. |
