Syllabus: | Presentation and analysis of findings related to evaluation of Indigenous programs and projects and implications for Indigenous Community Management and Development Practice (ICMDP) or Indigenous Primary Health Care Practice (IPHCP). Contemporary theories and concepts related to ICMDP or IPHCP and frameworks of Aboriginal terms of reference - project development, implementation and evaluation. Evaluation of own contribution to indigenous empowerment and self-determination. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Critically examined current factors within Indigenous and non-Indigenous domains that impact own organisation or community and own Indigenous Community Management and Development (ICMD) or Indigenous Primary Health Care Practice (IPHC). Critically examined structures and processes that impact on the ICMD or IPHC Practitioner and their capacity to create positive social change. Critically analysed other ICMD or IPHC practitioner strategies for working with the "Critical Reference Group" for posititve change. Identified and assessed own knowledge and skills with regard to improving ICMD or IPHC practice. Worked collaboratively to identify and overcome difficulties regarding own evaluation project. |
