Syllabus: | Further development of basic physiotherapy competencies in the management of selected neurological problems. Aspects of typical acute and chronic neural disorders covered include - aetiology, pathology and clinical features, assessment, clinical decision making, treatment options and other management strategies. |

Unit Outcomes: | The aim of this unit is to encourage the student to apply recent information in the fields of motor learning and motor control to clinical practice in the area of neuroscience. Students will develop their understanding of pathophysiology of the motor systems and use this knowledge in the development of measurement, assessment and intervention strategies for the clients' functional disabilities. |
