Syllabus: | Development of physiotherapy competencies in health management. Selected topics typically include - changes in health care systems, program development and evaluation, costs of physiotherapy services, marketing, quality assurance, business meetings, employment and legal issues. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Had an introduction to professional practice and administration so that they may fulfil the demands of independent practice. Had an introduction to program development, planning and evaluation.Developed a program proposal in response to a tender for an occupational rehabilitation program. Developed entrepreneurial skills in physiotherapy and incorporated principles of evidence based practice into their physiotherapy initiatives. |
