Syllabus: | Social pharmacy, social and behavioural aspects of pharmacy. Forensic pharmacy as applicable to schedule and drugs. Veterinary pharmacy, principles of pharmacoeconomics. Role of TGA, registration of drugs, application of pharmaceutical care. Problem solving. Dispensing of more complex extemporaneous products. Dispensing of prescriptions and prescription related activities |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have demonstrated competence in dispensing and other professional duties involved in the provision of medicines to the community. Integrated the legal and ethical requirements of the profession with theprovision of professional services. Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with patients. Developed an appreciation of the roles of pharmacists in various practice settings. Developed an understanding of the pharmaceutical services availablein specialist settings and patients with particular needs. |
