Syllabus: | Multiple approaches to recognising gifted students in early childhood settings, primary and secondary schools, inclusive of qualitative and quantitative methods. Introduction to the cognitive, social and emotional needs of gifted students and how these relate to classroom practice. Recognising giftedness in minority groups, such as ethnic, Aboriginal and the disabled. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Understood and applied several teaching models. Identified management issues when implementing a differentiated program. Collaborated with a school and student in order to develop a program of work. Increased their Understanding of the need for challenging and stimulating work commensurate with the intellectual level of the students. |
