Syllabus:

The study of heat transfer by conduction, convection and radiation in chemical process systems. Theoretical and practical aspects relevant to analysis and design of heat transfer equipment and heat exchangers.
 

Unit Outcomes:

At the end of this unit, the students will understand the salient characteristics, of the 3 modes of heat transfer, namely conduction, convection and radiation. Design different types of heat exchange equipment.
