Syllabus: | Advanced Radiography Option - An examination of the role of radiography plays in the rehabilitation of patients following trauma or debilitating disease. An examination of the specific requirements of the specialised field of geriatric radiography. The role of radiography in the field of orthopaedics. The role of radiography in accident and emergency departments. CT/MRI Option - Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures relating to the following - the cranium, face, neck, chest, abdomen, lower abdomen, extremities and soft tissue. |

Unit Outcomes: | Advanced Radiography Option - On successful completion of this unit students will have gained a sound understanding of Rehabilitation, Geriatric, Orthopaedic and Casualty Radiography procedures so as to ensure the highest quality images in advanced radiography are produced and understood. CT/MRI Option - On successful completion of this unit students will have gained a sound understanding of magnetic resonance procedure of the cranium, face, neck, chest, abdomen, lower abdomen, extremities and soft tissue. |
