Syllabus:

Invertebrate taxonomy - phylogenetic study of invertebrates, morphology and ecology of the major groups. Emphasis on Australian fauna illustrating invertebrate diversity. Detailed special topics will deal with economic importance of invertebrates, and selected aspects of invertebrate ecology and physiology.
 

Unit Outcomes:

Upon successuf completion of the unit students will be familiar with the major invertebrate groups such that they will also be able to relate body forms and functions and habitation
