Syllabus: | Examination of environmental systems, problems and solutions from the viewpoint of applications of chemical engineering principles and use of appropriate technology. Techniques to reduce or avoid environmental problems. Quantifying environmental problems and the cost of implementing proposed solutions. Application of cleaner production strategies in the process industries. |
