Syllabus: | Examination of the Internet and its importance to Accounting, including electronic payment systems, electronic commerce, web accounting resources and emerging technologies. It provides a review of hardware, software and data communication systems including networks, web browsers, File Transfer Protocol, Mail and Newsgroups. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this course students will have - Demonstrated an understanding of basic Internet and WWW technology. Appreciated the opportunities and constraints E-commerce provides. Understood the major opportunities and challenges inherentin attempting to utilise the Internet for commercial means. |
