Syllabus:

The history and development of Indigenous forms of healing arts. The theoretical underpinnings of practice in Indigenous contexts - relationship and communication skills to work with individuals, families, groups and communities of diverse backgrounds and social structures. The use of art in problem solving and conflict resolution.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, student will have- Outlined the historical development of Indigenous healing arts. Demonstrated appropriate communication skills to deal with individuals, families, groups and communities in a range of cultural and community contexts. Used art activities to deal with conflict and problems in creative ways.
