Syllabus:

An introduction to health promotion planning and evaluation in an international context. Application of health promotion. Theories and models. Conducting needs assessment and evaluation. Program planning and implementation. Exploration of models of community participation. International case studies from developed and developing countries.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Discussed and analysed models and concepts relevant to planning health promotion interventions in an international context. Identified and assessed issues associated with conducting a needs assessment in various international settings. Analysed evaluation strategies appropriate for health promotion programs implemented in international communities. Discussed models and application of community participation in an international context. Critiqued case studies of health promotion programs implemented in developed and developing countries.
