Syllabus:

Net present value, internal rate of return, annual cash flow analysis, incremental investment analysis, depreciation, replacement analysis, regional income taxes, production sharing contracts, investment portfolio selection, capital rationalisation.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Covered the application of basic economic analysis techniques and the application of probability and statistics in the petroleum industry. Discussed various economic cost recovery models and fiscal regimes used in the Asia Pacific region. The ability to apply decision tree analysis, manage a portfolio of hydrocarbon assets and make investment recommendations.
