Syllabus: | Participation in supervised clinical practical designed to assist students in meeting the Speech Pathology Association of Australian Entry Level Competency Based Occupational Standards (CBOS Units 1-7). Participation in a dysphagia workshop and an alternative augmentative communication workshop. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will - Meet the Speech Pathology Association of Australia (Australian Association of Speech and Hearing, 1995) Entry Level Competency Based Occupational Standards in Units 1-7. |

Unit Assessment Breakdown: | This unit is by pass/fail assessment. Students must attend all scheduled clinical placements as well as weekly seminars. In order to pass this unit, students must achieve a pass in each of the following assessments - Demonstrate emerging competence in CBOS Competencies (Units 1-7) for each clinical placement. Achieve a pass mark in AAC assignment, Dyaphagia assignment, clinical resource and video case study exam. |
