Syllabus: | An appreciation of animation and motion graphics, it's history, techniques and processes and possibilities as a communication tool and art form, particularly as applied to cartoons, TV commercials, animation logos, TV program title sequences, movie special effects and music video clips. Skills in basic animation and digital production techniques. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - An understanding of the dynamic relationship between time, image, and sound in the generation of meaning. Experience in the production of animation. Experience with relevant computer software packages for editing and compositing. Experience with digital media file formats and conversions and delivery. |
