Syllabus:

Overview of the investment structures and issues. Superannuation, debt management and gearing, consumer credit, annuities and pensions, housing, impact of taxation, insurance, estate planning, stocks and bonds, mutual funds, real estate and budgeting.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have- Understood the legal, ethical, and professional requirements of providing comprehensive financial advice. Understood basic financial strategies applicable to various age groups. Understood the practical issues of obtaining relevant data. Built a comprehensive financial plan "tool-kit" for future use. The ability to prepare a comprehensive financial plan, and implemented the financial plan.
