Syllabus: | Introduction including classification of haematological conditions. Acute leukaemias. AML and ALL. Chronic leukaemias and lymphomas. MPD, MDS, CLL HD and NHL. These conditions are all examined in relation to cytogenic results and further molecular characterisation of the cytogenetics. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed a strong understanding of the basic haematological subgroups. Demonstrated the ability to describe the cytogenics underlying many of these conditions. |
