Syllabus:

Sequencing in curriculum resources including syllabus and learning area statements and outcomes. Exploring curriculum definitions as all the planned learning which occurs in schools. The notion of the hidden curriculum. Implementing the sequence, intention and reality. Evaluating learning outcomes across lesson sequence - formative and summative evaluation.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Understood and appreciated the development of the learner and have the knowledge and skills to make decisions in relation to appropriate pedagogy. Become reflective, self motivated and critical in their approach to learning. Used a repertoire of teaching and learning skills and strategies. Used appropriate resources and instructional technologies in teaching. Used interpersonal and communication skills to enhance teaching and the learning outcomes. Valued and implemented practices that promote personal professional growth. Understood values underpin and shape the curriculum, teaching and learning. Used initiative and thought creatively to enhance teaching and learning.
