Syllabus: | Theory development. Models of health. Nursing, medical, social and behavioural models of health. Problem solving in nursing, including nursing process. Nursing modalities - team nursing, primary nursing, case load. Wellness and health. Perceptions and adaptation to health across the lifespan. Cultural diversity relevant to health status. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Reviewed models of health. Developed the capacity to identify development of nursing models and theories. Discussed cultural diversity in W.A noting its impact on health care delivery. Examined individual perceptions and adaptations to health challenges. |
