This journey through cyberspace examines the social, cultural, economic, and political aspects of the Internet and its application to enable students to answer the question 'What is the Internet and what does it do?' |

Unit Outcomes: | Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to - demonstrate that they have learned about the technologies and applications of the Internet, properly contextualised as a social phenomenon, form opinions on the representation and meaning of the Internet and related concepts, understand historical and contemporary development of the Internet as a social institution, and use and know the Internet and its applications better. |
