Syllabus: | Builds on and extends the concepts and skills established in Jewellery Design 291, assisting the student to develop a broad vocabulary in skills, processes and materials giving them the confidence to articulate their creative ambitions. Teaching methods include lectures, demonstrations, individual and group reviews, seminars, workshops, fieldtrips, visits to galleries, commercial manufacturers and outlets. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Further developed imaginative ideas based on interests, intentions and experiences for which the student is able to access primary sources. Further developed a level of independent judgement, imagination and commitment in the progress of projects. Confidently selected and developed imaginative ideas and strategies in the conceptualisation and resolution of projects. Developed more new skills in exploring and making an object/s. Confidently selected appropriate skills, processes and materials and successfully integrating them with concepts. Used exploratory processes as a means of investigating and progressing ideas, furthermore, to critically assess the outcome and how it might contribute to conceptual intentions. Continued to advance the means of documenting ideas and presenting them effectively. Presented sound arguments for ideas - written and oral, and demonstrated a growing awareness of personal strengths and themes emerging in their work. |
