Syllabus:

Observation of assessment of people with developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Conducting culturally appropriate case-history interviews. Demonstrating competence in the use of standardised and non-standardised assessment procedures.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Observed, measured, analysed, integrated interpreted and reported assessment data for people with developmental communication disorders and acquired communication disorders. Participated in a role play history interview with a client with a developmental or acquired communication disorder. Demonstrated competence in the use of standardised texts, standardised descriptive procedures and non-standardised descriptive procedures for assessing people with normalcommunication and swallowing.
