Syllabus:

An introduction to conversational and written Indonesian, using a thematic approach with some explanation of pronunciation, grammar, semantics and idioms. Not available to students educated through Indonesian or Malay. Not available to students who have completed TEE Indonesian.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have- Understood and used basic Indonesian. Read and written simple Indonesian sentences. Used the Indonesian language within a defined range of functions. Appreciated Indonesia's cultural background and the behaviour applicable to the situation in which the language is used.
