Syllabus: | An introduction to conversational and written Indonesian, using a thematic approach with some explanation of pronunciation, grammar, semantics and idioms. Not available to students educated through Indonesian or Malay. Not available to students who have completed TEE Indonesian. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Understood and used basic Indonesian. Read and written simple Indonesian sentences. Used the Indonesian language within a defined range of functions. Appreciated Indonesia's cultural background and the behaviour applicable to the situation in which the language is used. |
