Syllabus:

This is the first stage of a research programme dealing with some aspect of Futures Studies, preferably linked to the student's place of employment in industry, public authority or Industry, public authority or other organisation. A seminar presentation and defence of research proposal is required.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Defined a suitable research question. Conducted a relevant literature review. Developed a methodology appropriate for the research question. Written a research proposal to the standard required.Presented and defended the proposal to peers and academic staff.
