Syllabus: | Multivariate techniques such as principle components and factor analysis, Poisson regression and canonical correlation. Introduction to categorical data analysis and multi-level modelling. Illustrations of analysis of data from the health sciences. The use of statistical computer software is an essential part of the unit. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Apply advanced statistical methods such as Poisson regression, factor analysis and logistic regression. Be familiar with issues and concepts underlying the modelling and analysis of health and medical data. Use appropriate computer software to conduct data analyses with the emphasis is on practical applications and interpretation of results. |
