Syllabus: | An introduction to the scientific process and learn about a variety of basic scientific principles, develop skills for scientific writing in the science disciplines. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - The necessary skills for mainstream study in a science area. Experience of participation in a mainstream unit. Basic knowledge of core ideas in science. An understanding of the workload and expectations of mainstream study. |
