Syllabus: | Review of solving equations and inequalities. Functions and their graphs. Trigonometric functions. Exponential and Logarithmic functions. Differentiation, applications of differentiation. Introduction to integral calculus; definite integrals. Simple numerical methods for root finding. exponential growth and decay. Complex numbers. Vectors. Matrices and Gaussian elimination, linear equations, difference equations. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between variables through differential and integral calculus, vectors, matrices and simple numerical techniques; Acquire the necessary mathematical skills to pursue the Information Technology program. |
