Syllabus:

An introduction to ergonomics by examining the historical development of ergonomics, the philosophical underpinnings of ergonomics, the technical and human sciences knowledge bases of ergonomics, the methods used in ergonomics and case studies in ergonomics practice.
 

Unit Outcomes:

The primary aim of this unit is to give a basic introduction to the theory and practice of ergonomics. Describe the historical development of ergonomics. Outline the philosophy of ergonomics. Use common ergonomics methods. Describe typical cases of ergonomics practice.
