Syllabus: | Major functions of the muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems and their interaction in human physical performance. Particular emphasis will be focused on the function of the neuromusculolocomotor system during exercise and after training. Application of the principles of exercise physiology and rehabilitation assessment of the injured athlete. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of the unit the students will be able to - outline the resting and exercise responses of the various physiological systems in normal healthy individuals, outline the responses to exercise of trained and highly trained athletes, identify theimportant system responses to injury and de-training, institute procedures to test the performance capacities of the various physiological systems in injured, normal and highly trained athletes. |
