Syllabus: | Designed to provide students with beginning knowledge and understanding to comprehend some of the complex cultural environments and roles that are interconnected with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education. The learning is aimed at developing skills in which students are able to critically reflect and assess their own teaching abilities in cross-cultural contexts. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Explored own culture, attitudes, values and belief systems. Identified, described and analysed cross-cultural learning and contexts. Developed understanding of own role in cross-cultural contexts. Demonstrated current understandings of the discipline of teaching. Identified various stakeholders that can be utilised in developing and implementing culturally appropriate education in cross-cultural contexts. |
