Syllabus:

Hypertext mark-up language (HTML) code - syntax, tags, attributes. SES Accounts and email. Creating images for the web. Usability and accessibility. Design principles for the web. Researching with the web. Web search engines. Copyright and web published material. Evaluating and validating web sites and information from the WWW. Team work, collaboration and task management skills. Planning, designing and implementing web projects. Web editors. Servers. Project presentations.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to use electronic communication and publishing tools and research, create, organise and evaluate electronic resources and information. They will have learnt to work independently and/or with others to achieve identified outcomes, apply usability and accessibility guidelines when creating web pages and evaluate the strategies used to learn and complete assessments.
