Syllabus: | Comprehensive analysis of the laws which authorise and regulate corporate equity and debt securities in Australia. Topics include - raising initial and further equity capital, secondary trading, buy-backs, take-overs, schemes, raising debt capital, andderivatives. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Assessed the requirements of the financial regulatory system, the relative merits of equity and debt financing requirements, lending security laws, the requirements for financial restructuring andrisk management. Designed, constructed and implemented IPO floats. Implemented subsequent fundraising programs both on and off market. Appreciated the legal requirements for obtaining and maintaining investment and financial advisers licensing. |
