Syllabus: | Introduction to land-mobile radio communication systems. Mobile radio environments - propagation mechanisms, path loss, multipath fading and statistical models. Cellular concept - architecture, cell design, frequency reuse, handoff, interference and capacity, grade of service. Access methods - frequency, time, code and space division multiple access. |
