Syllabus: | Supervised case-study design practice in a relevant field of design, negotiated between the student, the academic supervisor and external professional advisor. Students will attend the University one day per week for consultation with their academic supervisor and to undertake related coursework. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have identified key issues in the workplace which impact upon the design process. Selected an appropriate methodology for observing and reporting on your design case. Developed good interviewing techniques. Developed case studies for use in furthering the knowledge of designers, both within your future workplaces and your current educational setting. |
