Syllabus: | Aims to develop an understanding of planning as a function of the state, and the impact of political and economic change on the development and interpretation of plans. |

Unit Outcomes: | Upon completion of this unit students will have developed an understanding of federation and the division of powers between federal and state governments. Gained understanding of the development of planning law and the establishment of local government and its planning powers. Developed knowledge of the role of the judiciary in interpreting laws, the operation of local government, and the implementation of planning law by state and local government. |
