Syllabus:

Teaches financial economics as applied to individual firms. Emphasises skills necessary for the chief financial managers to make financing and investment decisions. Provides a systematic and rigorous treatment of controveresial issues such as capital optimal structure, dividend payouts, agency costs, mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have- Developed and enhanced important generic skills including critical thinking, presentation and communication. Have the ability to explain the wide range of skills required of a chief financial officer in a public company.
