Syllabus:

Group dynamics, consensus development, facilitation skills, role playing. Social survey techniques, forecasting, conceptual modelling, projections.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have been equipped with the basic communication skills demanded in professional practice. Gained an understanding of the range of social survey techniques, their application and potential shortcomings.Gained experience in designing, conducting and analysing questionnaire surveys. Examined the application of forecasting techniques for population and land use.
