Syllabus:

Development of an understanding and the skills to enhance creative and functional aspects of interiors through projects in the following technical areas - lighting types, design and layouts and relevant documentation.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Experience in accurately surveying buildings and their interiors and calculating areas. A broad understanding of the selected building and its structure. The skills for designing for construction. The capacity to integrate conceptual design into a buildable solution. An understanding of some of the practical and theoretical constraints inherent in an existant building. Development of teamwork skills through practice.
