Syllabus: | The relationship between furniture design philosophy, manufacture, packaging and marketing. The role of the designer in production of limited/single piece and commercial furniture. The dependency of the design process on knowledge of materials, technologyand methodology. Practical workshop experience demonstrating the capability to design and construct a prototype based on ergonomic criteria, in the following stage - research, design and production. |
