Syllabus:

The child's world of music. Appropriate activities and repertoire for children. Experiments with sound. Sources for music listening with children. Elementary performance and creative production using classroom instruments. Introduction to music technology. Building personal musical skills and a song repertoire.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Described and used a wide variety of music activities and sources suitable for primary and pre-school children. Demonstrated individual confidence, creativity and communication skills in perceiving using and appraising elements of time and sound. Evaluated existing resources and approached used teaching music. Produced and used resources for music teaching.
