Syllabus: | Applications of differential calculus. Integral calculus - indefinite and definite integration, Simpson's rule, areas, applications. Vectors - basic ideas, component form, equation of a line, scalar product, applications. Use of computer software and/or graphics calculators. |

Unit Outcomes: | Based on knowledge obtained during the Mathematics 133 course, students will study some practical applications of differential and integral calculus. Successful completion of this course will mean that students will have obtained a good understanding of the basics of Calculus so that further first-year tertiary studies in Calculus can be pursued. |
