Syllabus: | Practical opportunities to implement and develop knowledge and skills gained in Communication in Science and Technology 101. Undertake a project of limited scope on a topic, area, or problem in a chosen aspect in the field of science and technology. Preparation and production of a publication, word processing and desktop publishing, format, design, writing, publication and distribution. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have identified and applied primary and secondary research methods. Identified and applied style and techniques appropriate to writing a scientific research paper. Written a scientific research paper suitable for publication on a web medium. Established and been part of a committee which has a particular function and regular meetings. Liaised with individuals and organisations in a professional context. Organised a long term project. Prepared and delivered a seminar presentation based on their research paper. Assessed own performance and those of peers in an objective manner |
