Syllabus: | Effective research using printed and electronic material, academic scholarship and referencing, writing well and knowing why, conventions of written language and the writing process, argument development. Particularly recommended to students in the Faculty of Media, Society and Culture, and relevant to those preparing for professional contexts requiring significant attention to writing skills. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Access appropriate information for research in the Humanities, and reference in correctly. Write clearly, concisely and correctly in academic genres appropriate to students in the Humanities. Develop sound, logical arguments in their written work. |
