Syllabus:

Systems analysis and design methods including - modelling - data, process, network and object, and design - systems, database, structured and object-oriented. Emphasis will be on data modelling including Entity Relationship analysis, normalisation and data dictionaries.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Understood the main concepts associated with managing information systems and their development. Understood the main concepts associated with modelling information systems. Understood the main concepts associated with designing information systems.
