Major government white papers on training, education and employment, institutional governance, quality processes and audits, para-professional and industrial training, competency-based training, social justice policy, occupational health and safety, open learning, professional preparation of trainers. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Described the way in which policies are formed with regard to higher education and vocational education and training in Australia. Discussed how and why policy decisions are made. Identified policy documents of many kinds using the web and other sources. Effectively critiqued HE and VET policies. Defended some of their own personal viewpoints on some of the issues confronting the HE and VET sectors based on a foundation of knowledge and understanding from reading and through the use of reasoned argument. |
