Syllabus: | An understanding of the issues involved in safety design and incident investigation of a complex system. A variety of causation theories are investigated, MORT, FTA, CCA, FMEA. Auditing of management system to Australian and international standards. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Demonstrate an understanding of the theories underlying system safety. Understand the main features of several safety system safety models. Understand the main feature of safety auditing. Understand the main features of accident investigation. |
