Syllabus:

Industrial relations theories. The historical context. The roles of the parties - the tribunals, the State, the unions and management. Collective bargaining, industrial action and conflict. Worker participation and reform. Enterprise bargaining. Negotiation. The future of industrial relations.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have gained - An overview of Industrial Relations Systems in Australia. A framework of analysis of Industrial Relations systems. Discussed the future role of industrial relations within the economic, political andsocial context.
